"The chief beauty about time is that you cannot waste it in advance. The next year, the next day, the next hour, are lying ready for you, as perfect, as unspoiled, as if you had never wasted or misapplied a single moment in all your life. You can turn over a new leaf every hour if you choose." -Arnold Bennett
New Year, New You!
Take a look in the mirror. Have you had the same hair style for as long as you can remember? If so, don't be ashamed. Change is hard. Here is the deal, if you have had the same haircut for over a decade it is time to change it! Your facial structure changes, body type, the texture etc. It benefits you so much more to echances and embrace those changes. Work with that new texture that came out of now where from your last pregnancy. Accent those new glasses with a side bang, or blend in those natural "sparkles" that have recently popped up with a fresh highlight.
An updated style is a great way to get noticed and keep you current. Note that a small change goes a long way and might be all you need. It is amazing what just a few highlights can do to your complexion and mood! You don't have to be agrressive. Simple changes include: changing your parting, switching your blush or eye shadow color, or adding bangs. Even an inch or two can make a difference in a haircut!
The most important thing to consider when you are looking for a change is you need to change your routine as well.
"I have found this to be the most difficult for clients. They want a new style but if they go home and style it the same way they were before the haircut they are not going to get the same results and may not look any different." says senior stylist Faith Flaherty.
We are creatures of habit, and in order to get the most out of your new look, you need to embrace new products, styling tools, and styling steps to create the look. Just remember: simple steps towards change can make a huge impact!
